We wondered why an oncoming car was flashing its lights at us. The picture shows what we found on the main highway heading south in Queensland. We are now marooned in the newly formed island of Biloela, Australia, courtesy of Cyclone Tasha. Roads in every direction are impassable. We had planned to be at a beach resort by now, but are stranded up near the Outback instead. That's OK though. There is just more rain on the coast than here anyway. Hopefully we can get out tomorrow though more rain is predicted all week. Australia's 17 year drought has ended.
So this is the tale of our castaways,
They're here for a long long time.
They'll have to make the best of things,
It's an uphill climb.
The first mate and her driver too
Will do their very best,
To make the Jessi comf'terble
In their Outback island nest.
