A herd of 15 wild elephants entered the Inventure Academy school compounds located in the outskirts of Bangalore this morning. This created much havoc and the kids were sent home due to this bizarre breach.
There is no information on how the elephants managed to enter the school compound.
After the elephants entered, people living around Sarjapur Road burst crackers in an attempt to shoo away the elephants.
However, this seemed to have made the situation worse and kids from 18 schools in the vicinity were now at risk.
Later, cops arrived at the spot to manage the crowd.
They were apparently finding it tougher to handle people rather than the escaped wild elephants on Sarjapur Road.
Schools in and around Sarjapur Road were asked to ensure that their gates are shut and students were retained inside.
The elephants were later gathered in one place. They will be directed towards Bannerghatta national park tonight.
The kids were sent back home after the elephants were secured.
